I should be happy to have your views upon this subject. As well as your advice what course to pursue in obtaining a commission in the Army.
I learn with great pleasure that you are to have a celebration at Norwich on the coming 4th. Nothing would give me so much pleasure as to be with you, Sir I never celebrate that glorious Anniversary with so much satisfaction as at My old Alma Mater _ Should my business permit my absence at that time I shall certainly be there. I have written Mr Sherwood again today relative to the proceedings at our next commencement. And I have no dout the business will be promptly attended to. I received a letter by this mornings mail from Lewis Partridge which I shall answer immediately. Please make my regards to Mrs Partridge and the other members of your family Very Truly Your Obt.
