Description

Took charge of the school there in Pembroke, New Hampshire, two weeks ago; pupils have increased from 20 to 50; is going to ask for an enlargement of their act of incorporation at the next session of the legislature; writes about the potential establishment of an institution in Reading, Pennsylvania, and in Massachusetts; has been offered an appointment as military instructor to the 2nd Brigade of New Hampshire militia and leaves for Dover, New Hampshire, that day; the military instruction will last ten days.
