Description

Regarding James H. Tyng, who was dismissed from the Academy about a year ago; Tyng was sent on a voyage as a "penalty for his misconduct"; now Tyng wishes to return to the Academy; Ticknor finds Tyng much changed and highly recommends his readmittance.

It appears Tyng was readmitted; a duplicate of this letter was sent to Norwich, VT. See letter same date.
